Re: AmigaInput
Hi Cyborg, i have an unrelated question
Recently I bought an USB adapter for the PlayStation 2 joysticks...
This one from Xtreme: https://ibb.co/tzm9bkn
When I connect it to my sam440 it is correctly recognized by the Sirion stack as a "Playstation3" controller... however when I open the AmigaInput preferences I cannot see the canonical "usb" menu option for calibrate it.... so there is no way to use this adaptor on AmigaOS
I have another USB adapter of the exactly the same kind (but different manufactured) and it works perfectly fine...
What can be the reason?
Just tested the adaptor on Windows 10 and of course it works

Re: AmigaInput
take a look on a tool like usb-inspector, devinfosng or ranger as which kind of usb device the controllers are regognized.

Re: AmigaInput
maybe it was interesting to see also the data from the running one, to compare the devices.

Re: AmigaInput
The usbinspector shows that there is no driver for this adapter/joystick. For a working controller show usbinspector this:samo79 hat geschrieben: ↑29. November 2022 16:54 Ok maked a few grabs collecting some more info of this device using USBInspector and DevInfosNG

Re: AmigaInput
Correct, but still there is no 3rd party specific driver for this type of device... sort of it should be automatically recognized in OS4 by its hid.usbfd no? ...
Atleast i guess its support should be added there for what i can understand

Re: AmigaInput
Actually, I *did* do another couple of fixes to infamous AmigaInput (more specifically generic_usb) a few weeks ago due to a request for a scheduled update. No idea when it will be released though.

Re: AmigaInput
It would be nice to be able to test something in preview, as logically also kas1e proposed... it's quite unacceptable to have to wait years to have something to try, but then if new problems arise, report them but have to wait again years and years... it frankly kill any motivation
